A very warm welcome to Isabella who has just joined the team! Isabella recently graduated from Swansea University with a Master’s degree in osteopathy, achieving first-class honours in 2026. Her passion for learning and research was recognised when she was awarded for the highest dissertation grade in her cohort. With the dissertating topic surrounding pain psychology, this reflects her enthusiasm for understanding the biopsychosocial science behind pain and how we can apply it to patient care. She also has a keen interest in anatomy and enjoys applying this knowledge into practice.
Throughout her studies, she was also an active member of the Institute of Osteopathy (iO) Student Committee. She attended various networking opportunities as a representative for the students at Swansea, communicating concerns to the wider profession. Recently, she has been appointed as a new committee member of the Scottish Osteopathic Society (SOS), where her new role will involve decision making for future events.
As a practitioner, Isabella particularly enjoys using structural osteopathic techniques within her treatment. She is looking forward to expanding her musculoskeletal treatment options though further postgraduate training. Her enthusiasm particularly lies in women’s health and the ways osteopathic care may support women experiencing musculoskeletal pain. She intends to invest in postgraduate courses to specialise in women’s health alongside paediatric health, treating both the mother and child.
Moreover, Isabella aims to create an environment where her patients feel listened to and to curate an individualised experience for the person. She believes in nourishing the body and mind, in accordance with the extensive pain literature – and she happily practices what she preaches through her hobbies of going to the gym and playing the guitar!
