Mary Monro

Headshot of Mary Monro

Mary has been a Registered Osteopath since 1999, focusing on the more gentle, so called ‘cranial’ osteopathic approach. Cranial implies the head, but in fact this approach is effective at treating problems anywhere in the body. It is particularly well suited to babies, children, older patients, complex or long-standing problems, coping with stress and emotional issues and health maintenance.

She especially enjoys treating whole families – caring for grandparents, parents, children, newborns and sometimes the family pets too. In 2020 she delivered a video lecture on covid pathophysiology and has since been supporting patients post-covid and with long covid.

Much of Mary’s post-graduate study has been devoted to honing these subtle skills, including completing the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy’s (SCCO) 250 hr Pathway, studies in Biodynamic Osteopathy and gaining a MSc in Paediatric Osteopathy. She is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy, the Royal Society of Medicine and the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners. She teaches osteopathy at post-grad level in the UK and internationally and is currently a Trustee of the SCCO.
